Growing up on various Western and Japanese cartoons as well as reading manga Iv’e always had an interest in posters and through these recent years iv’e begun to explore that path. Using past illustrations I started creating posters for fun to get a better understanding of typography and the way it interacts with the rest of the image. I then started to get into music covers which opened even more doors for me. Throughout this process I accumulated various references from vintage music band promo posters, vintage and current movie posters and music covers. Since then I’ve gained more knowledge on color theory, perspective, typography and most importantly poster making. I’ve used these new found skills to build my own concept with original characters with the idea of creating promo posters for performers and/or creators of all kind. I’m excited to see where this takes me moving forward.
